Permeable Products

From October 2008, new rules apply for house holders wanting to pave over their front gardens. You will not need planning permission if a new driveway uses permeable paving or porous surfacing which allows water to drain through, such as gravel permeable concrete block paving, porous asphalt or if the rainwater is directed to a lawn or border to drain naturally. Rain gardens and soak aways can also be used to form suitable methods of water runoff. At DAI we are fully compliant with all the new planning legislation and all installations meet BS7533 part 3 at all stages of construction. All our staff have been trained on Marshalls and

Interlay training courses for sustainable urban drainage solutions (SUDS) so have the skills to build permeable driveways.

However there are numerous ways and products that DAI use to by-pass the lengthy process of getting planning permission from your local councils and the £150 application fee.
